• Identifying parts of speech of the words underlined in a written text (taken from FOG 3) (5%)
• Answering grammar questions based on a text taken from FOG 3 (5%)

Writing Assignments: Individual Work (Week 10) - 20%

• Writing ten exchanges of questions and answers based on the text of one of these genres: a letter, a newspaper report, a dialogue, a short story or an extract of an article (10%) 
• Online MCQ at http://myline.utm.my/ (10%)

Presentation: Pair Work (Week 13) - 30%

• Writing a dialogue based one of the given situations (10%)
• Presenting the dialogue with a partner (20%)

Test 2 (Week 14) - 30%

• Multiple choice questions on grammar structures (5%)
• Text completion on tenses (5%)
• MCQ on cloze comprehension (5%)
• Task-based questions on grammar (5%)
• Error detection and correction at sentence level (5%)
• Writing a short paragraph around 100 words on one of the given topics (5%)
